As the director, my journey spans over a decade of impactful leadership and teaching within NYC’s afterschool programs, where I have consistently championed the growth and success of K-12 students. My experience has shaped a vision that extends beyond the court, emphasizing academic achievement, personal growth, and college readiness.

A cornerstone of this vision is the Globe Summer Academy, a transformative college readiness program that has achieved a remarkable 95% college acceptance rate among its participants. Through this initiative, students are immersed in a comprehensive two-week residential experience on a college campus, where they attend classes taught by university professors, complete college-level assignments, and engage in authentic dorm life. This program offers a true taste of collegiate living, including exposure to campus organizations and Greek life, ensuring that students are not only academically prepared but also socially and emotionally equipped for the transition to higher education.

Our coaching staff brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to mentorship, fostering an environment where athletes are encouraged to excel both on and off the court. At Lone Star Elite, we offer a suite of services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our community. Our club teams provide year-round competitive play, while small group training sessions focus on individualized skill enhancement. Our basketball skills plans are meticulously designed to deliver measurable improvement over 10- to 20-week periods, ensuring sustained growth and development. Beyond athletic training, we introduce students to the broader world of sports, offering education in sports management, sports medicine, and the dynamic fields of radio, television, and social media as they relate to athletics. This comprehensive approach prepares our students for a wide array of opportunities within the sports industry.
